Inspiring and Reviving Young Men to Become
Better Dads
Better Partners
The DADMAN project was founded in Namibia to teach a young man the joy of being a great DAD for kids, and a sensitive MAN for his partner, and a responsible citizen in society.
We are aiming to make a profound impact which will ignite minds and deliver social change.
Our Aims
The education of young boys is a task that lies at the very heart of every successful culture in history. It has never been so important as today.
The DADMAN project aims to form young men in healthy and pro-social ways that empower them to achieve their potential, develop healthy relationships with women and serve the wider community.
Our community faces many challenges today, not least of which is an unacceptable level of gender based violence (GBV) and absentee fathers – leaving mothers and extended families to care for children without a father figure and role model. We exist to put an end to this destructive social evil, working with other established organisations and Government agencies and departments. DADMAN believes that a fundamental change in existing strategies is crucial to deliver a focused and lasting change.
Our Vision
To mould young boys and men to be a DADMAN – a DAD for his kids and a MAN for his partner.
We aim to instil the true characteristics of a man in every sense of the word – his purpose, his identity, his relationships, his belonging, his accountability and his ultimate responsibility
Our Mission
To be a provider of a secure home environment.
To be a provider of reasonable economical means
To be a provider of sustainable, spiritual growth through love, care and education.
Activities & Programmes
Education and Community Programmes
We are planning to run a series of educational and community programmes across the country, aimed at addressing this destructive social evil. One day soon, we hope that the statement “Women are not rehabilitation centres for badly raised men” will be no more.
Programmes
Over the years, many programmes and initiatives have been implemented with limited success and we see the problem of violence against women and children is still present. We are currently planning to rollout a Mentor Program for Grade 8 to 12 schoolboys which will run in the afternoons after school.
Information
In addition to our programmes, we are developing supporting materials for schools, communities, families and the boys themselves. These materials will provide useful information, exercises and advice.
Fundraising
Our aim is to self-fund DADMAN, its programmes and activities delivering through schools and community programmes. We are doing this through a series of initiatives:
- Developing a range of DADMAN products, such as branded clothing accessories and commercial products.
- Partnering with national stores to stock and promote DADMAN products and the aims of the organisation.

A Better Future for All
The prospects of a better future for all cannot be underestimated with boys and girls grow up to complement each other with mutual respect and tolerance. To accept one another as human beings, treat each other as such with a common goal in mind, make room for one another to live a prosperous and quality life.

Once a teacher, always a teacher
Just shifting gears to assist and help those young boys who grew up not knowing what it is to have a father all day around. This generation was in my class. They are now entering manhood and adult life. My obligation and gift to them now is to make sure they become a DADMAN … a DAD for his kids and a MAN for his partner.
